Another picture that I did up for Mocking in the new style that I have been using. I don't know if this one turned out as well as the one I did of Silentcrusader, though. :/ And I have no idea what that brownish? fringe is between where the light gray and the dark gray meets around the chest. (It may only be the computer that I used to upload, since it looked okay when I drew it on my phone. I may have to edit this and reupload it later if it is something that I goofed on when drawing this up.) | Ref for head shape: http://s3.amazonaws.com/assets.prod.vetstreet.com/0c/b722a0a34e11e087a80050568d634f/file/Somali-5-645mk062311.jpg | Ref for Sugarglider's design: http://s3.amazonaws.com/assets.prod.vetstreet.com/0c/b722a0a34e11e087a80050568d634f/file/Somali-5-645mk062311.jpg
@Alienfish, thanks I wanted to lean towards more of a StarClan type backdrop, so the starry night background was the only thing I could think of. Thankfully it works
@Ember, Thanks I had a couple layers that had a burn effect added on them. If I hadn't merged them all before posting this it probably wouldn't have done that.
@Mockingdeath, I am so glad that you like her since the markings weren't something I would normally draw I was terrified (a bit over the top, likely, but I was that worried @[email protected]) they wouldn't come out right. If I can figure how to get my little quick sketch of the eye I drew I will show it to you.
OH MY GOODNESS I MISS HER! The details in her eyes are amazing! I can zoom in on my phone and just wow. I have no words. Teach me your ways of doing eyes o.o Her fur texture is amazing! She looks so fuzzy I just want to snuggle her! Sugarglider's markings are perfect and I love her ears. I also like the random brown it doesn't take away from it at all and looks cool in my opinion. I love the star background. I miss her so much
I love how the star-pattern is echoed in their eyes and all the texturing is just gorgeous.
Hm, if you were working on photoshop I'd tell you to make sure you didn't have the fur layers on burn or something strange to get that effect-- if your drawing program has something similar, check that?
This might be even better than Silentcrusader! It's somewhat more well-defined, particularly due to your choice of background. The fur is still exquisite, and the markings are exemplary. Great work!
