Extremely low fertility along with Lakepath's not so great fertility. She's going to have a few miscarries first, and some of these four kits may not survive long after birth.

There was one thing I don't get, about these, though. If Lightningstar is barren (based on the picture you made), how could she have these? Or does she just have an extremely low fertility rate/level? (Curious tone used)
