Request by Twin Devils to draw Goldenstar. I wanted to do something a little more simple, but dramatic. I'm happy with how it turned out. (And I realized the last four drawings and this one are all facing slightly to the right. Weird.) /// Ref: https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/236x/da/8b/9f/da8b9f8b6028a7589207306d1635235b.jpg
I seriously can't get over how amazing this piece truly is. You've managed to capture him in the best ways possible. It's like he's on fire or something, I have to agree with Ebony, like he's molded with flames or the Sun. It's so weird how little was done yet it's such a powerful drawing and holds such force to it. I'm trying so hard to come up with words to say here, but I'm a little awestruck. Thank you so much for doing this for me, I couldn't thank you enough! Do you mind if I use it as my profile picture?
It's probably just that I got used to doing it this way and stick with it unintentionally. I suspect it's because on this website there's a sidebar to the right, so the pictures are shifted left on the page. Having them facing to the right puts focus on the center of the page, which feels more balanced when you're looking at the website as a whole? I don't know, there probably isn't an actual reason for it.
The lighting and contrasting...
It's amazing Ember! And you probably doodle your cats facing the right because if you draw them to the left, it feels weird. When I free draw animals, I find it difficult to draw them facing the right And back to the drawing, it looks like a candle is lighting his fur.
You just made me look back at all the other drawings. Bluesage ruined the cycle XD This really is simple but dramatic; I love how the fur looks like some of it's in the sun and other not so much, and some's red and the other isn't, and.... I like the fur a lot!
I love how you did this! It is extremely dramatic, and the contrasting of colors with the black and the golds so close to each other, it really is very stunning! *_*
