Trying to figure out Photoshop with my new tablet x) No reference, just messing around, trying to find a smear tool :/

The smudge wasn't lagging at all on my computer, but the color mixer tool sounds like it'd be useful.
Be careful with the smudge tool though, it can lag a lot and be a lot of trouble for your computer. I would suggest playing around with the color mixer tool as well, it's harder to use (at least for me) but freaks out my computer less and can do roughly the same thing. I can send you a screenshot of the settings I keep it on, if you want. It's hidden under the normal brush tool, by the way.
