Are Kingfish and Riftsight related? Riftsight and Kingfish bear the same colors on their pelt (save Kingfish's black markings and Rift's pale chest marking), and both have heterochromia iridum, oddly enough with a similar ice blue eye. Riftsight is a carrier for the tabby genetic, and so does Kingfish (evident by Mamelukefang's tabby markings, and Kingfish's handful of tabby-striped kits and grandkits). Could Riftsight possibly have been the daughter of Kingfish's sister Dohlefang? Is Riftsight Dohlefang? Or was Riftsight perhaps a half sister? -------------- ANSWER: No! :D Becasue there's a few problems: 1. Rift talked about her parents raising her in MC her whole life; she was never in the city like Kingfish was. 2. She can't be Dholefang becasue Dhole was a dark ginger with a black tail and only green eyes; she can't be the daughter of Dholefang because that would make Riftsight at most an apprentice when Kingfish was a warrior. 3. Manikintail was Kingfish's son, and Riftsight and Manikintail had a kit: Mameluke, which would be GROSS!!! So, yeah, no, theory disproved. :3 Why did I go through all the trouble? Because for a while I was wondering if I should do a grand reveal that Riftsight was a long lost sister of Kingfish, but as her story wove on, I realized that it wouldn't work, at least not in a healthy way.
