This is cool, but all the different lines might be harder to keep track of between different pictures and it would be difficult to keep up with the right tone, unless you're super careful about colors-- which would be hard with the lack of definition, if you used color at all. It would speed things up, though 
I like it! Though I do like the more realistic style for you official project. Though this looks like it would be awesome for emphasis on funny moments. 
To be honest, whatever way you think is more comfortable
