A mouse scattered and dropped a half-nibbled piece of dog-food as a streetlamp's bulb went out, the sound reverberating between the alleyway's brick walls.

"Okay, if we keep going this way we're going to leave the territory," Blackrabbit meowed, finally growing tired of following the kit around in circles.

"Follow us and we'll get you home for dinner before dark," Kudzuthroat meowed and started off toward the territory at a clipped trot.

Fencerunner entered Origam's place, the jump through it's window causing her quite a fair amount of pain in her twisted forelimb. It was swollen beyond recognition now that it had time for the blood to pool, her claws poking out like twigs stuck in the ground. As soon as Fencerunner was hidden inside an upturned filing cabinet, she began to lick the tender flesh.

"****," she thought as she looked at it, wondering when Blackrabbit would send Softskin. She didn't want to confront the MoonClan medicine cat, but at this point she had very little choice. Touching her wounds were painful and she was too tired to properly groom, having been awake for two days- since the night before the gathering.

The she-cat fell asleep without realizing it, and in her dreams, Summerpaw's face haunted her.

Clarisse yawned as she settled on a self-made bed in her family yard, cleaning her claws regularly. She had disappeared for some time with silence but hoped deep down that Politoes hadn't left because of it. Her green eyes showed that she was lost in thought, and she stayed quiet, unaware that her son was walking on the fence behind her, his green eyes focused in on a bird that had landed beside the make-shift cat house. 

Delano padded out of the dingy house that Eclipseclan called their camp and shook out his short fur. He thought about following Enzio's scent but hesitated. He looked agitated when he left, maybe he needed space. Toms needed space most of the time. Oh well. He might want to talk. He padded towards his scent but stopped when another utterly familiar one hit his nose like a smack to the face. His ears lowered.

If there was any scent to take her out of her thoughtful state, it was the one that smacked her straight in the face. Her eyes narrowed and she took a step out of the makeshift house to stare down the fence where the shadow of a familiar figure stood, and her eyes narrowed. "Delano." She said, her voice strained to be emotionless, but her nervous tail flicking said that she wasn't as heartless as she tried to speak. 

Enzio had stopped at the unfamilar voice speaking his fathers name in the distance, and he turned around to stare, hiding behind a chimney on the roof of the twolegs house that connected to the yard, his green eyes narrowing. 

Delano exhaled slowly. "Clarisse." He responded, not really knowing what else to say. His mind was blank, and he felt like his heart was squeezing. He was so upset that she made him feel this way. He thought he was over her by now, it had been a few moons. Their kits were older. They were older.

Clarisse stared him down. "Why are you here?" She asked her gaze hardening, "I'll have you know I've moved on, as I'm sure you have with that *****. So have you come to gloat? Because I can fight back." 

"I-" Delano started to explain himself, obviously with a defensive attitude towards her hard demeanor. "I had no idea where you had run off to, Clarisse. I was not looking for you nor have I ever since our last meeting." He meowed calmly, his tail swinging behind him. "Also, I have no reason to explain myself to you."

"I loved you at one point." She said with pain echoed in her voice. Her strong front had fractured. "You were my world and nothing could break me from that. A gem in a giant piece of trash." She shook her head and turned away. "But you... so soon after becoming my mate, you did that! And became the dirtiest piece of filth in that trash heap." She lashed her tail and took a few steps away from him. "I'm glad I found Politoes. He loves me and only me. He respects me. And I really think I can love him without the fear of him cheating on me. A love I thought I could have with you."

Delano glanced away, an exasperated sigh escaping his lips. "I already apologized to you for what I did, and you agreed to move past it and go on with caring for our kits. Then you became the **** you were destined to be just like your flirt of a mother and went and cheated back on with and continued to hold a relationship with him while I haven't so much had a full conversation with Fencerunner after you killed our kits to make some kind of horrid statement that you were, what, the better she-cat? When you couldn't even take care of your own because of your addiction that, I hope, you have gotten taken care of because it really did not suite such a physically gorgeous she-cat such as yourself. It really showed the ugly soul that you have and I'm glad that Politoes took you off of my paws." He meowed coldly.

"Because you obviously would have chosen those mistakes over our litter!" She snapped, turning back around with rising fur and her teeth bared. "In fact, I'm sure I gave you a relationship with the kittens that you would have never had before." She scoffed, flicking her tail. "And you know what, Politoes accepts me with or without my addiction, and it is pretty intense when we both get going." Anger surged in her pelt as she stayed hook on a part of his words. "Do not compare me to that ****." 

Delano stared at her, his eyes narrowing. "Like how you chose your addiction over our litter? Who is really to blame here, Clarisse? Sure, I started the snowball effect, but all you did was add a blizzard. And what the **** is that even supposed to mean? You take pride in damaging them to the point of having mother plus abandonment issues and think that I'm supposed to thank you because they cling to me? You're more delusional then I thought you were. I won't compare you to her, you two are exactly alike." He scoffed. His ear flicked and he turned to eye the tom rounding the corner. "Ah, just in time to save me from this mess once again. Hello, Politoes. How have you been?" He asked him good-naturedly.

Clarisse snarled, her tail lashing. "You ignorant prick!" She cried out, her claws slashing the ground, tears coming to her eyes as she turned to look at Politoes, then back at Delano. "Don't talk to him like he's your friend."
