Jade shook her head before letting it tilt slightly. "Sounds like an interesting place to be." She noted.

"It's not," Toxicmamba mumbled. "It's a giant gorge that leads down into a river, and should you fall in it, well, its basically an immediate placing into StarClan." He looked over the scarred parts of his body, and growled a bit. "And, well, I used all my luck." 

"Y-You...fell..?" Jade meowed, not being able to hide the slight crack in her voice from the shock. Her green eyes looked over his body again, studying his scars.

"No." Toxicmamba replied coldly, his eyes low. "I was pushed." Hatred burned in his gaze. "By my father." He snarled, his tail smacking the ground behind him.

Snow glistened on the fields of SunClan. Cold brick slept in the wintry city. In the place between the two, all things met, bird and beast and black and white and hot and cold and beautiful and ugly and pure and uncured... all things met.

Jade bristled, her worry melting into anger as he told her what had happened. She got to her paws, her tail lashing. "Where is he? I'll go fight him right now for doing such a terrible thing. Who does he think he is? What kind of father would push their own son?" She was talking while walking directly through the moors, her small frame struggling to step through the snow.

"No!" Toxicmamba said, quickly jumping in front of her. "Don't. Please don't." His eyes were wide. "Don't go near my father. Ever." He said, looking at her with wide eyes, filled with fear. "Just, you can't. You really, really can't." 

Jade stopped and glared up at him, her tail still lashing behind her. "Somebody needs to do something about that, Toxicmamba. You don't deserve that. And who knows who else he could hurt if he hurt his own son." She said, her voice softening but still holding its edge.

"Exactly!" Toxicmamba hissed out, his tail lashing behind him. "P-Please. You can't. You really, really can't. You don't know my father." The thoughts and memories of what his father said to him poisoned his thoughts, and the idea of him doing what he did to those cat's bodies to hers made him angry. He shook his head. "You really, really don't know him."

"You can't stay in Sunclan with him!" The smokey she-cat argued, her green eyes looking up in an almost pleading manner.

"I don't want to!" Toxicmamba retorted, looking over her. "You don't understand how much I would just love to stay with you, and be with you, but, if I left, things would only get worse!" He said, his eyes pleading. But what if she joined SunClan? The thought pondered through his mind, and for a split second he debated on asking. He could at least try to protect her more here, with his father thinking that he was listening to him. But, how could he ask her to leave her duties? It'd be rude. 

("It'd be rude." xDD)

"I-..what if-.." Jade stopped herself, her ears flattening as she peeled her gaze away from his soft blue eyes and looked at her paws. She was at a complete lost for words. These couple of sunrises that they had met..why was she so sure that she wanted to do this more than anything else that she wanted to do...she'd rather be his than anything else she was supposed to be..She didn't even know this tom! So why did she trust him so much..?

(He has priorities XD)

Toxicmamba looked at her, his ears falling back a bit. "If what?" If she never wanted to see him again? If she wanted to stop all communication because she can't take on his baggage? Oh StarClan so many worries fluttered through his mind. 

"I might be crazy.." Jade mumbled, half to herself half to him, completely bypassing his question. She chewed on her bottom lip and allowed her gaze to meet his once more. "I don't know what you did to me, Toxicmamba but..you're more important to me than my duties as a medicine cat.." She meowed, slight hesitation in her voice at first until she actually started saying what her heart felt. "I can't leave you and if that means I.." She stopped herself, her breath hitching in her throat as she suddenly got nervous. What if he refused to let her come with him?

"Y-You'd... come with me?" He asked hesitantly, his blue eyes sparkling with hope as he took a step forward. If she came with him, he could care for her. Make sure she was safe. It was heckuva lot easier if she joined him, and, if that's what she wanted, "I'll do anything, no, everything to make sure you're safe." He whispered.

Jade continued to chew on her bottom lip as she listened to his words, everything in her head screaming at her that she was making a mistake. But her heart was louder..and the look in Toxicmamba's eyes made her want to stay with him even more. Could she leave her clan during such a harsh leaf bare? Eclipseclan didn't particularly need her..she was just the apprentice..Jade needed him more. She nodded without saying a word.

Toxicmamba smiled. Was there finally some hope, something good in his life? He bounded forward, and pushed his head under hers. For the first time in forever, his heart beat with a different meaning, and he finally had a friend. A girl friend at that. He looked up at her, his eyes wide. "I want to protect you." 

Jade let out an involuntary purr as he pushed his head up under her chin, her pelt growing hot with the sudden affection. She had an urge deep down to push him away but she liked it. "I want to protect you, Toxic." She meowed with a small frown. She wasn't the one getting beat on.

Toxicmamba shook his head. "When you see my father, you have to promise me not to go around him unless I'm with you, alright?"
