Stoneforst nodded and he snickered lightly,”Just don’t go soft on us....we have too may she-cats like that,” he gave a slight eyeroll then said a bit more thoughtfully,”Well...I suppose it’s not entirely their faults.” He then purred in amusement,”Just don’t go falling for me, okay?” The tom joked lightly. He pulled a very unattractive expression and his ears swirved back as he grinned at her lightheartedly.

”Hm, you could try your paw at catching a bird or two...though, they always seem to see us coming in the alleys,” Smokestrides gave a short chuckle while thinking over “another idea”. His pace was matched with Morningsun as they went.

"I was thinking of setting my sights on something a little... larger," The abyssinian purred before bumping his hindquarters against Smokestrides', aiming to throw the dark gray tom off balance. "But I suppose birds are pretty similar. Afterall they just sit there with dumb looks on their faces, completely incapable of taking a hint." He spoke lightly, playfully, and doubting that Smokestrides would pick up on his thinly veiled jab.

Curledbracken huffed, " Yeah, okay dreamboy, me fall for you?" She joked, with a smirk as he made the ridculous expression." You've got another thing coming if you think you can catch anyone but Marshmallow." She grinned, stepping up her pace a bit, leaving the tom behind.

Smokestrides blinked at Morningsun, and as the tom had expected — the oblivious grey male gave a slight shrug. “It’s their flight that always ticks me off,” he told while flicking his tail against Morningsun at the tom’s attempt to set him off balance. “It’d sure be interesting to fly though,” he muttered under his breath.

Stonefrost let out an over dramatic gasp at her words, he dramatically pinned his ears back and lifted a front paw in vain. “Oo! That hurt Curledbracken! And some say I have a cold heart,” the tom whined lowly while a goofy look crawled onto his features. His green eyes glistening with a playful, teasing glint. 

Curledbracken rolled her eyes, "Hm, it was meant to hurt." She gave him a devilish side grin, as she padded onwards, glancing towards Morningsun and Smokestrides, she'd catch up with them sooner or later.

Stonefrost snickered and lowered his head, his ears pinned back as he muttered back,”The tom’s a bit of a flirt — though Smokestrides’ skull is too thick to process anything besides his own thoughts,” the greya dn white tom then glanced at his friend, adding,”Besides — he’s not the best with situations as such.” The tom then nudged her,”You’ll be fine,” he was referring to the new life ahead — he could see the tension in her stance and body.

Smokestrides nodded slowly, and then said,”Well...we coudl give it a try — though it’s not my fault I don’t exactly get along with most,” the honey orbed tom glanced back at the new clan-member and Stonefrost — the pair were muttering about something....

Smokestrides blinked blankly at Morningsun and answered in a dulled tone,”I suppose so....but, I’m not sure it’d be the cost of my life,” he told while his ears twitched. The tom had thought about ending it all many times before — especially when he was an apprentice; that was until he met Stonefrost — the tom had pulled him from his broken state and Smokestrides tom thanks him for that... “It’d certainly be a once in a lifetime opportunity,” he added while his tail flicked lightly behind him.

"Smokestrides, I'm joking," The blue abyssinian purred, giving a soft shake of his head and rolling his eyes. "I'd be completely blunt with you all the time if it wasn't so much fun to see you miss subtle conversational undertones."

"Oh I think you're extraordinarily intelligent," The tom hummed as he continued along the path back to camp. He looked to the gray warrior, his eyes soft and kind. "I just think you need a little work on your social cues. Which, I'd be more than happy to help you with, by the way. If anyone can ram it into your skull it's me."

Curledbracken shifted her paws as she felt awkward, and slight sadness tugged at her paws as she padded along sides Stonefrost, She had left Earthclan. And now had to get ready to embrace a new life. " So, Morningsun seems..... Pretty attached to Smokestrides." Curledbracken whispered, not giving anything away. She made it sound as a joke to cover up her actual curiousity about the situation.

The tom had seen what it was like to lose something you loved — and he had been torn apart when he saw what it did to Smokestrides....”I promise,” he told with a soft tone.

Smokestrides blinked a few times and rolled his honey gaze,”If it makes me end up like you, Casanova, I might skip out!” The tone was light, though he was curious to what the blue abyssinian would’ve had in store... He then looked up, the city was closer now....much closer. (Yeah, we can move if ya want :P)
