Hello everyone! If you aren’t up to date on what we have planned for the roleplay over the next little while, please check out the Planned Events Section of The History Page.
While the recent log-in glitch set us behind, we’re still on track to have the battle start this weekend. I currently have an EarthClan patrol going to steal food from SunClan’s territory, which as planned should prompt Desolatestar to call in MoonClan and go forward with the attack. EarthClan will win this battle by splitting up the attackers and ambushing them, but we haven’t decided what should happen following EarthClan’s victory and if y’all agree, that’s where we should focus most of our attention during this plot planning discussion.

I dunno, I think splitting Earthclan up and having a new clan form up in Nighclan territory should be interesting.
Brokenshadow, the options are having EarthClan AND a new clan, or DawnClan AND NightClan. There isn't an option for both ending EarthClan and making a new clan.

Ok, two questions:
1. Maybe we could extend the gathering till Monday so we can have the Eclipse happen during the gathering? I think it'd be interesting if the Eclipse happened while the clans were gathered together.
2. If we did that, could we have the Eclipse start on Sunday evening? I don't know about some of you, but I have school on Monday, and probably won't be able to role play much during the day.

Ooh, I like Spirit's idea of having the eclipse occur during the gathering. Perhaps we colud have the leaders fighting about the existance of EarthClan, and the eclipse could be interpreted as a sign from StarClan that they should accept the new clan.
I agree that if we do it, it should be at a time when as many members will be online as possible. However, maybe we should hold off on that until next month. This seems awfully quick, and while it wouldn't line up as well with the actual eclipse IRL, we can probably make it work in the plot more easily.

Would this be a lunar eclipse, then, or would it be a solar eclipse happening at dawn, at the end of the gathering?
The solar eclipse would be more dramatic, but it would require it to happen at dawn. Perhaps the clans could arrive late and the bickering could go on and on, or there could be an actual battle?
If a battle was the reason for the gathering to carry on, perhaps the eclipse could be interpreted as a sign from StarClan about their disappointment, anger, or favour?
I think it would work best as disappointment/anger, and could be the final push for MC and SC to leave EC alone.

Because it's seen as disappointment that they've hurt so much of EC, etc. Then maybe some NC Rebels or cats who don't believe EC is safe move into the city, and form the new Clan named after the Eclipse that caused anger and confusion among the clans, or name it after the Eclipse because it is what caused their separation from EC.

My assumption would be that this happens at the next gathering, so over the next month we have MC and SC successfully push EarthClan into DawnClan territory, so when that final battle does occur they?re already settled in what will be their permanent territory.
That does leave the question of why the new clan would be formed then, perhaps it could be a result of the NightClanners and others accepting that they can?t just go back to the way things were a generation before?

Speaking of the final battle, will that take place after or before the forming of the new clan? If after, is the new clan going to fight in it? It seems unlikely that Earthclan would hold up against three clans.
I was thinking after, as before then MC and SC would still be committed to the idea of seperating EC into NC and DC.
Also, we could avoid the daylight problem all together by having the final battle take place on just any day, rather than during a gathering. That would also buy us more time to get organized, since conversation surrounding the new clan seems to have quieted.
