Hi guys! If you haven’t yet, please check out the last Plot Planning Page and the History Page, which was updated on the 25th.
As Ripple pointed out on the EarthClan Camp thread, there seem to be a whole bunch of disconnected side plots going on right now. Ideally, we can talk here about how to wind some of those side plots together to aid the overall plot.
As well, we need to decide what to do about the meeting between MoonClan and SunClan scheduled to take place in 14 in-game days. This doesn’t necessarily need to be 14 out-of-game days.

Ok, just had an idea, but I thought I should check with everyone first. I have a cat in Earthclan (Spiritkit/Spiritsong) who I'm planning on making a medicine cat. Could this happen because she had a vision? Like, a major vision about maybe an upcoming battle, or the rebels, or maybe even so far as to be a prophecy? Or maybe even another cat gets a prophecy about some upcoming event? Now, this is just an idea, I don't have to do this if anyone thinks it's a bad idea...
I think it would be a cool idea. If Moonclan and Sunclan are going to attack Earthclan but Earthclan still wins I can see how that would help. The kit could see it coming and Earthclan would have time to prepare, allowing them to win. I could be wrong or misunderstanding if Earthclan is supposed to win though... this was just an idea as well
How do we want to set up the arranged mateships? Have Ripple do it, or arrange them through PMs?
We haven't had prophecies for years. They put the plot in a fairly awkward position, since whatever the prophecy is, it'll force us to go through with a plot point even after it doesn't make sense or isn't interesting anymore.
Having EarthClan get a heads up could be interesting, though, and it doesn't have to come from StarClan. Perhaps someone from inside MoonClan or SunClan could warn them? I don't have any cats who have reason to do that, but do any of you?

Briarwing in Sunclan doesn't like war but he's loyal and most likely wouldn't send a warning. Gingerpaw however hates war and fighting so she'd do anything to stop a major battle that could cause death. So I think she'd be the best out of my characters for the job.
That makes sense. I have Flameheart, but I know he would never betray his clan. However, could Earthclan possibly be warned by a hostage? Like they take a cat prisoner and that cat tells them?
Are we saying that Gingerpaw is the hostage, or are these isolated incidents?

I don't mind Gingerpaw becoming a hostage as long as she gets back to Moonclan at some point. She doesn't yet know Moonclan and Sunclan are planning an attack so she would have to be informed. Then she could accidentally cross the border into Earthclan territory and became a hostage and she decides to tell them. I don't know if that's alright with everyone else, it's just a thought. I'm not even sure if we're going through with it.
SunClan knows about the attack from when Kaiserstar visited, unless I'm mistaken?
Sunclan does know about the attack. Gingerpaw is in Moonclan but she hasn't heard about the attack, I was just saying she would have to be informed first if she was going to be the one to warn Earthclan about the attack.
Since you want Gingerpaw to be returned to MoonClan, maybe her giving EarthClan the heads up could be EarthClan's thank you/apology for capturing her?
That would be fine with me. She would feel terrible about telling them afterward realizing she betrayed her clan, but out of my characters she's the best one for the job. Though, I don't imagine they would let her go so easily. i image they would want something else as well like having her spy on her own clan or giving them information about it or something. But that may be too much.
I could have Dovepaw say something, if Gingerheart doesn't want Gingerpaw captured and if she doesn't want to have Gingerpaw betray her clan? Dovepaw is more than a little upset with what happened during the battle where she was captured and how her father, Jaguarstar, at first, refused to give up the plot of land, even for her safety's sake. So she would have motivation to go behind her father's back and warn EarthClan. I know that she would probably be thrown out of SunClan, though....

Would we even want EarthClan taking prisoners? Would that be within Boundstar's personality, Ripple? As well, what good would it do them? I suppose it could be an offshoot of their arrogance and trouble-causing attitude?

I'm fine with it @Ripple. If Foxfur was leader he would take prisoners if he felt it was necessary.
I'm fine with the idea then. EC taking prisoners could pressure SC into discontinuing certain battles.(?) Or otherwise arrest conflict at the borders.
Dovepaw and Gingerpaw could also work together if we can't decide who will be the one to warn EC.

That's a good idea. I'm good with them working together if Silverwind is.

Dovepaw would probably just be the type go straight to EarthClan and tell them (if she could). She, in character, would want to act alone, since she doesn't play well with others... :(There is no leverage in holding Dovepaw hostage now that Jaguarstar retired. He wouldn't be able to give anything up for her return. Not that he could have done so, and kept his life and/or position anyway.
Probably sometime after the gathering. Unrest during the meeting could help prompt Gingerpaw and Dovepaw to make the move to warn EC.

Okay, so, would Dovepaw just act as a spy for EarthClan, then? It seems like she wouldn't be in much of a prisoner-y situation unless Boundstar decides to take advantage of her going into the camp alone (?) to give them the news of the oncoming attack.
In regards to the conversation of the Gathering thread, I don't see why the NC and DC rebels wolud have to hide. Maybe they could come openly as representatives of DawnClan and NightClan? I imagine they would feel fairly secure, as if EC starts trouble they will likely anticipate the help of MC and SC.
