Hello everyone! This morning a handful of members raised some concerns about the proposed EarthClan plot. To get the details, please check on the most recent plot planning page, but the gist of their worries is that it isn’t realistic for where the clans are now and feels forced. The plot hasn’t had much momentum so far, so I would like to hear from the rest of y’all whether you guys think we should continue with it as planned, alter the plan, or scrap the idea all together. If we do alter it, what do you think we should do instead of what is currently planned?
There is a gathering scheduled for this coming weekend, but if we need to move it back a week that isn’t a big deal, especially since the gathering would cover both Good Friday and Easter so a bunch of our members might not be able to make it anyway.

But to be fair neither of us are going to give any ground on the matter. We just have to wait for the opinions of more members.
Very true, we are only presenting opinions anyway so for now let's put this on hold or stem it off until others have a chance to add in on the matter.
Besides the fact that I'm slightly confused what that small discussion was about, the Earthclan plot does seem like a good idea. Hopefully it gets more people involved once the merge starts/occurs.
I dont really like the idea of the merge, but its just me. :/. I think there should be some sort of rebel clan, those that don't wish to join the new Earthclan can stay elsewhere, because my guys won't be keen on the merge.
I don't really have any particular view on the while Earthclan idea. While it does sound exciting to roleplay and I'd probably have fun coming up with ways to roleplay it, I don't really have anything to add on except it sounds neat and my characters aside from Wavepaw would partake in this merge.
Alright, since the gathering is in two days and there's such a strong in-favor vote (not counting members who are completely on the fence, my count is two against and 8 for), I think we should proceed with the assumption that EarthClan merge will happen. There can certainly still be cats who act against it to varying degrees, possibly including a group of cats who refuse to live in the clan's new camp or form a pseudo-clan of their own.
The pseudo clan could stay in DawnClan's old camp, although I can't image the newly formed EarthClan being comfortable with the rebels hanging out in their territory.
I think there should be a little tension at the gathering towards SunClan, (no fights or anything, just ruffled pelts and some cold shoulders), but I think that SunClan should notice this, and when someone speaks up, NightClan stands up for DawnClan, and thus starts to encourage a fusion for EarthClan.
Also, in place of or to aid the previous suggestion, Tiger and Creeksplash should meet and start to grow rather fond of each other (kind of a love at first sight, but at a realistic pace), and perhaps Boundstar notices? That or Pantherfang if he's at the gathering, and he relays to to Boundstar, who may find that as an opportunity for a merge.
As far as EarthClan splitting in the end, I think that there could be a new DCNP that finds the bond of clans to be diluting the strength of DawnClan, and perhaps even a NCNP who feels the same about their own clan, and they each gather enough members together to kill/subdue the leaders, forcing the clans to split.

King, I agree. The merge is very unlikely to happen before the gathering, so we can use the gathering to gather some momentum and push ahead the alliances. As for how EarthClan will eventually split, I'd rather leave that up in the air at least until we see how EarthClan is settling in.

Yeah, I think you're right; it would be better if we play that out by ear instead of staging it all.

Hey guys, here is what the EarthClan Council looks like, not including medicine cats:

These are all DawnClan cats, but I'm in contact with a member and there will be a NightClanner added soon. As a NightClanner is in line to be the next leader, the council having a slight DC majority shouldn't raise too many alarm bells. There will be a council section on the EarthClan page when that is created, but I'm going to hold off on the page merge until EarthClan is settled in.
As well, Lightningcatcher and Shatteredsky of SunClan will be added to the SunClan council.
