Isolation Plot Planning III

Posted by Ember on September 1, 2016 at 2:10 AM

Hi everyone! If you haven’t already, please review the Planned Events portion of the History Page.

In our last plot planning entry, we decided to have the MoonClan/DawnClan battle take place this coming weekend (September 2nd-4th). However, we need to plan how we are going to escalate a skirmish between rogue DawnClaners and a MoonClan patrol to a large battle including the majority of both clans.

There are some more plot ideas that have been floating around for a while but need to be fleshed out, such as when the MoonClan spies are discovered in DawnClan, what will the chain of events be that lead DawnClan to send out spies of their own, and then the other clans to follow suit? As well, what are we doing with the prisoners NightClan has taken? My assumption would be that the other clans will take NightClan prisoners and attempt to trade hostages. However, we could have the other clans attack NightClan if the kidnapping continues, or if NightClan refuses to give up their prisoners in return for the captured NightClanners.

There have been a few plot elements that have been neglected lately, so I’d like to remind everyone that NightClan should be shifting into a violent, eager-to-prove-themselves mindset, while SunClan becomes very strict and single-minded in the pursuit of building up their clan’s strength. Incorporating these ideas into your cats’ day-to-day interactions will help push things forward much more than individual “larger” plot points will.

Aspenstar and Poppystar will both be retiring this month, how do we want to handle that?  Spicy, Lilywish, would you like them to retire, be killed, or...?

I think one of the MoonClan prisoners in NightClan could say something, like they recognize one of the spies. I'm not sure how it would go about in the other clans.

Okay, I'm so far off, I'm sorry. Are we still sticking with the torture plot? I do agree with the NightClan Civil war plot.
I'm still confused about what we would do if Darkstar did come back to SunClan. Or would we just not have him come back at all? Again, I'm way behind and I'm sorry.

If Darkstar returns, which I believe he will, then the plan is for him to cede the leadership to Icestar for the good of the clan.

With the NightClan spies, Sharpblades has a bit of a hole in the wall he usually secludes himself in as he doesnt trust NightClanners, so maybe a NightClanner could find his den and get suspicious?

Also, is the Twolegs plot still going? If not, i can have Covepaw return and just not say anything or something like that.

For Ivyfrost, she's a prisoner now at the moment, I'm not sure if I should've cleared this with Ember or not...? :/

The battle is starting...
I think Oriolestar should lose a life

I think with Chugaistar's rule, he won't let Ivyfrost stay in prison for long, as he's hopping mad with Kingfish right now, and doesn't like keeping prisoners.

As for the battle, did we clarify who's supposed to win that one?

If you're talking about the MC/DC battle, MC is supposed to destroy DC pretty easily.

With Chugaistar now in power he'll go straight back to the old rules and dismiss all the changes Poppystar had made to make sure it isn't valid a second longer. Also who is going to be Nightclan's next Deputy?

Will the other NightClan "leaders" attempt to keep prisoners? I don't think we should abandon that plot entirely, in fact I think it would be interesting if there was confusion springing from the fact that prisoners are being taken by NightClanners but Hattori legitimately doesn't know and has nothing to do with it.

I'll tell you who the deputy is as soon as I know, sorry for the delay. Some differences in time zones have lead to a rather drawn-out game of message tag.

Pardon me, but whose Chuigastar?

Pardon me, but whose Chuigastar?

That would be Hattori

I really want to stick with the prisoner plot. Maybe the other "leaders" could try and show their strength with these prisoners or something like that.

I agree with the prisoner idea. I say that they should each have their own prisons somewhere in different areas of the territory, unless that was what you were already thinking?

I wasn't completely thinking that, but it works! Again, I volunteer Streamrush and Mantis-strike as prisoners. If Kingfish takes prisoners, Mantis-strike can be one of his.

Where would Ivyfrost fit in the prisoner plot? Should she keep her mouth shut and still pretend to be one of NightClan, or tell some cat? Also, should Sharpblades report to MoonClan about Ivyfrost's capture?

I would feel it to be best if the two spies agreed that one would stay shut while the other reported to make sure that at least one will be left if something were to happen.
