Plot Planning

Posted by Ember on September 1, 2015 at 8:10 PM

Clawtail and Dawnswallow have begun killing off opposition by using foxglove seeds and claiming that StarClan is striking down the nonbelievers within their ranks. This will lead to their downfall when Clawtail’s infatuation with Weepingtiger leads her to reveal the plot and pin all responsibility for the deaths, and particularly one involving a cat the clan as a whole was fond of, on her mentor when she catches wind of Dawnswallow’s love for Weepingtiger.

Around this time in MoonClan, Fernwillow and Weepingtiger will come into conflict sparking violence between the moderates and extremists in the camp. In fight, Lashclaw will attack and almost kill Tigerpaw, a strong believer in StarClan, and Pricklekit, who has no faiththis  in StarClan. Lashclaw will be executed for his actions and Weepingtiger will declare that any heresy or rebellion within the camp will result in the same fate. Tigerpaw and Pricklekit will both begin to recover, but Weepingtiger will poison Tigerpaw with deathberries before his recovery sparks doubts within the clan. Pricklekit’s death and Tigerpaw’s survival will be held up as proof of StarClan’s existence and as a way to enforce extreme faith in StarClan throughout MoonClan.

Fernwillow, already upset with Weepingtiger because of their earlier conflict, will become suspicious and confront Weepingtiger. He will tell her the entire truth, expecting her to have the same blind faith in him as her other clanmates. However, she reveals what he did publicly, and forces him to flee to DawnClan.

This will result in both Dawnswallow and Weepingtiger being out of power, and the medicine cat apprentices left with fragmented support among their ranks. In MoonClan, it’s likely that there will be some internal violence between strong believers, possibly led by Clawtail, and non-believers or believers in the traditional clan structure, possibly led by Amberstrike and Geckospots.

DawnClan may be left in a less volatile situation, as they have been more moderate from the beginning. They could agree to step out of the war and return SunClan’s kits, maybe Clawtail could stay in some position of leadership as DawnClan makes a transition back to the traditional structure. However, she might have to step down from the medicine cat position when things have settled, either to being a warrior, leaving the clans, whatever feels the most appropriate.

Between the loss of MoonClan’s allies and their internal conflict, NightClan and SunClan could be able to mount a successful attack on MoonClan to win back the apprentices that had been taken. This would bring the war to an end without ending the plot entirely, new leaderships will need to be established in DawnClan and MoonClan.

So, what do y’all think should happen? I think it would be a good idea for us focus on the internal conflict in MoonClan and decide how we want to begin all of that, and I’d like to hear your opinions on DawnClan’s downfall. The fates of Weepingtiger and Dawnswallow seem pretty much settled, but everything that happens after or as a result of that is still completely up in the air. As well as that, we should decide on what’s going to be happening in SunClan and NightClan through all of this. In the last blog entry there was some support for having a SunClan-centered plot next since they have been on the edges of the main plot for a while, we can begin to set things up for them to be in an important role later on.

@Lily it will only be happening in MoonClan, since DawnClan has the foxglove seed plot to deal with their enemies.

Spark can be an enforcer and Melody can be a victim

@AngeL Aw, too bad. None of my characters would be good for that there.

oo i love this assassin 'enforcers' idea.its spooky. finchflight can be an enforcer. as for landmark ideas i have:
- Tree Den: A log cabin in the forest where a old two-leg lives and sets out food for the cats he sees in the forest. It is forbidden to eat the food, and any cat caught eating it will be in big trouble.
- Moose-Stuck Place: A marshy area with more mud underpaw than grass. Often moose are spotted here grazing. The mud is easy to get stuck in if not careful, and a cat could lose their life here.
- Boar Lands: A dangerous part of the forest where a sounder of boars live. They are very vicious, and this place should be avoided at all costs. though young male boars tend to leave the group and wonder off into the forest, becoming threats.

Thanks for all the landmark ideas, guys! I'm tempted to update the clan maps to include some of these, they're all really cool!

Screamingpaw could be killed by the Moonclan 'enforcers' and I have two landmark Ideas:
Butterfly meadow- a large green field filled with multiple types of flowers and plants That usually has butterflies fluttering around it, it is a good place to find herbs.
And sky pine- a very, very, very big pine tree that has many squirrels and birds living through out its strong branches. A fall from any one of its branches would either mean death or a broken bone and there is a large den like gap in its roots that used to belong to a fox but is now abandoned.

I have a territory idea
-brightriver-a beautiful sparkling river filled with fish and vole burrows everywhere along the river and there are many trees near by
-tree tunnels-a clearing of trees one of these trees has a hollow among the roots which leads to a deep and long tunnel which connects to many other tunnels in the same clearing
Thats all I have for now :)

This sounds cheesy xD but building off of Snowy, with the bright river, there could be a Moonlit Path which is surrounded constantly by pines and flora and is perfect for romantic walks, or for someone to just unwind, and then the path leads to a similar clearing.

Ooh, perhaps the moonlit path could lead to butterfly meadow? And the old fox den in the sky pine could have a hole in the back of it that connects to the other tree tunnels?

Enforcers: Fireflychaser, Bloodpaw, Floodpaw, Pridesoul. Spark, and Finchflight
Victims: Cricketleap, Irisblossom, Melody, and Screamingpaw

Anyone else have any cats they want as Enforcers or victims?

(I'll keep an updated list on my profile after this.)

i would also like to ask that the cats who plan to be in the rebellion be listed. itll make it easier for geckospots, ash-heart, and amberstrike to recruit if i know who to talk to!

Cricketleap can join the rebellion and Redpaw (though he's one of the NightClan prisoners)

Cinderpaw will totally be in on the rebellion.
Nightheart could be a wannabe Enforcer, though he doesn't have the heart (or lack of one) to kill anyone.

Chillingpaw would help them out
@Ebony isn't Cinderstep returning to NightClan? She was made a warrior.

Cinderpaw's a warrior? Cool! Does she have to go to Nightclan? I'd like it if she could stay in Moonclan and help out if the rebellion, if she could.

Would the Enforcers, by any chance, be sent after Hailfall? Because he's not exactly out of the game yet, and I planned on him being killed.

@Amberstrike since he was banished, Weepingtiger would just send a patrol of warriors out to kill him or run him out if he gets caught in the territory.
