Plot Planning

Posted by Ember on July 30, 2015 at 12:50 AM

So, where do y’all want to take the plot from here?

I think that it’s about time that we have the medicine cats’ grip over MoonClan and DawnClan begin to crumble and judging from comments on the last plot planning entry I’m not alone in thinking this. How do you think that should go down, or would you prefer if we held off a while before transitioning back to traditional leadership?

Following the last gathering Frozenstar, Quickstar, and Ryestep were discussing attacking MoonClan. Their idea was to attack as quickly as possible and force them to surrender before DawnClan could arrive with back up. We could have something similar to that happen.

Yeah, the Burnt Woods is in the way :/ What would DawnClsn get for helping in the battle, then? Is there anything besides territory they could ask for?

Because SunClan is NightClan's ally, they could try and claim the Burnt Woods, but I don't think that would be a very smart move if they're trying to knock SunClan out of the conflict.
This is a pretty out there idea, but they could just ask for some NightClan kits to be raised in MoonClan or DawnClan? More warriors for MoonClan and DawnClan, and they can pretend that they're just "saving" the kits? Even if that's something the medicine cats would do, though, and their clans would support, people would need to allow their kits to be handed off to a different clan.

NightClan doesn't have very many kits at the moment, but I'd be willing to do it with one of mine. They could stretch it out to encompass young apprentices too, but that might be crossing a moral line.

I don't have any kits in NightClan at the moment, but I can volunteer Redpaw if we do extend it to younger apprentices. They could offer to take in pregnant queens as well as demanding the kits.

What they could do, as a more middle of the road type of thing, is take NightClan apprentices and kits, train them "properly" to help "set NightClan down the right path" and then send them back once they become warriors. It would be a risk for the medicine cats to allow it, but if they're confident they could sort of rewire most of them then I could at least see Weepingtiger taking the chance.

I don't think anyone in Nightclan would allow for family to be taken away like that, if they demanded it from Moonclan/Dawnclan to take the queens, kits, and apprentices, they would fight back. Especially any apprentices that go to Moonclan/Dawnclan are likely to never fully submit to Moonclan/Dawnclan's ways.

Well, Angel, since Weepingtiger offered on the behalf of Dc and Mc to train the medicine cat apprentices, it could work to make young apprentices transfer, sine Lilypaw is a young apprentice

They wouldn't have a choice about agreeing, since they'll have lost the battle at that point and trying to fight anymore would just end in the death of more NightClan cats. It sounds like some people have characters they're willing to do it with, and Weepingtiger would gladly take Lilypaw and train her.

All I can say, there not going to just stand there while there kin are going to be taken away. I mean, Thats how anyone is, besdies a few of my Nightclanners would attack them, even if they were outnumbered if they took there kits away from them and some would rather kill themselves then go to Nightclan.

What if they refuse the training, like most of the queens and apprentices will do?

True! One of my characters died because there wasn´t a medicine cat!

So Fernpaw and Weepingtiger aren't on the same page. Fernpaw started to notice that Weepingtiger's intentions are more personal than what StarClan wants. Could it possible that Fernpaw tries to rally up clanmates to expose Weepingtiger or she flees to Nightclan or SunClan to help her overthrow Weepingtiger? Fernpaw can be killed by Weepingtiger as they confront each other during a battle outbreak in MoonClan or Clawpaw kills her to protect the cat she admires?

Maybe Fernpaw could help lead the little civil war that goes on between the Moonclan cats, like Angel suggested, and she dies during that battle?.... Or maybe she can be the spark that sets of the battle, after Weepingtiger gets fed up with her disagreeing with him, finds that she was plotting with other cats against his reign, and he decides to execute her?

If Fernpaw disagrees with him publicly she won't last very long in her current position. Fleeing to SunClan or NightClan makes sense, before things get too heated, but I feel like if she tried to lead a civil war in the clan discretely, someone would tip Weepingtiger off before anything major could really happen. Or he would grow suspicious of her. It would help antoginoze things a lot to have some sort of fighting happen between them, especially if Fernpaw has the respect of the clan. Her actions could tip off the downfall of MoonClan? Weepingtiger could declare himself the sole leader of MoonClan after her "betrayal" and refuse to name a new apprentice and remove the head warrior from power, believing any cat in the position would try to back stab him to gain power.

Lily, as I understand it the queens would be coming voluntarily, with promises of enough prey and a safe place to raise their kits, and only very young apprentices and kits will be taken. I think that as for the apprentices and kits themselves, most are so young they?re not in any sort of position to refuse, if they even do understand the situation fully. If they do refuse to train, I?d imagine they?d be punished by the medicine cats or head warrior with something like refusing to give them food until they comply.
Warrior, members won?t always be online. Even in game it?s best to keep in mind that you?re roleplaying with other people and hold off to wait for them to come online so they can help your characters.

One thing we haven't discussed is DawnClans eventual decline and then transition back to normaldom. Right now, and since the beginning, Dawnswallow has been slightly unfavoured. Laurens idea gave me an idea, Dawnswallow has always taken the back seat follower role, following Weepingtiger like a lovesick pup- er kitten. I've always had this thing in my head that Dawn is in love with Weepingtiger (sorry Angel if this is a little unprecedented). If I make it out that her actions are leaning more towards being influenced by Weepingtiger than actual willingness to do StarClans will, maybe Clawpaw could start to realise this and work with Fernpaw to dislodge the med cats power.

What I'm thinking is that some cats form all four clans form a secret resistance to oppose the medicine cats
