Plot Planning

So, where do you guys think we should be taking the plot?

In the last blog entry, we were talking over a few ideas about Wildstar getting captured. A patrol of MoonClan apprentices or young warriors could accidentally or on purpose stray into NightClan’s territory, Wildstar and possibly some older warriors could go after them to bring them back to MoonClan’s territory before NightClan discovers what they have done. They are attacked by a NightClan patrol, and Wildstar is taken captive by those warriors. It would be best if more violent, impulsive warriors were on this patrol as more cautious warriors wouldn’t be risking starting a bigger fight by doing this. Raven & Co. suggested that they demand the territory they lost in the last battle in return for giving Wildstar back. This could be a way for them to potentially back down without starting a larger conflict over it, while not looking like cowards. However, MoonClan might be too proud to do this and insist that Wildstar be given back with nothing given in return, since they will believe that NightClan is in the wrong.

Thoughts?

DawnClan could easily get pulled into this conflict due to their ties with MoonClan, but as things are right now between the change of leadership and the fact that they don’t have anything on the line if they stay out of it, SunClan doesn’t have much reason to be involved.

That sounds fairly good to me, about Wildstar being captured and the apprentices straying into Nightclan territory.

It sounds great, but one question, are these warriors going to be given permission from Frozenstar to take him? I'm thinking maybe the cat leading the patrol of cats could start the group behind Frozenstar's back, that way when they come back to Nightclan with Wildstar, Frozenstar has no choice but to keep him hostage otherwise it looks like she doesn't have control over her warriors and no leader wants that image brought upon them

Yeah, I was thinking that they'd be doing it on their own instead of Frozenstar giving the order herself. I don't think "behind her back" is really what they would be doing, though. Border patrols are sent out all of the time, they'd just happen to run into trouble and make the choice to bring Wildstar back with them after the fight.

May I make an additional plot suggestion?

Sure, that's what this is for.

I was already intending for the characters I want to get rid of die from greencough, but what if Dawnclan and Sunclan were to team together to help each other with the epidemic? I don't know exactly how this would work out, but the current thought is that since technically the only ally Dawnclan has in Nightclan is now an elder in their clan, that one of the cats in Subclan would reach out to Dawnclan for help. Again, I do not have any specific details, but that's the basic idea.

It's more likely that SunClan would reach out to MoonClan for help, they have a history of reaching their direction when they need medicine cat help. That would help get SunClan involved in the conflict, though.

OK. Truthfully, it probably wouldn't work out anyway.

I imagine SunClan would reach out to MoonClan for help as well, especially given the fact that Silverwind trained Weepingtiger, he wouldn't hesitate to suggest helping out the clan in the epidemic, even if supplies are low in MoonClan. SunClan reaching out to MoonClan could start a little side plot to strengthen the MC- SC alliance again?

That sounds great to have Wildstar captured. The apprentices can wander out into the territory and into Nightclan's and Wildstar and strong warriors could go look for them but Wildstar gets captured.

It would probably be best if it was just Wildstar, with maybe an older warrior who is experienced but not at their height anymore. If the warriors were too good, it would be unlikely Wildstar would be captured.

It's sounds good to me! And can I have Greenclaw go with Wild star and other older warriors to get the younger ones and apprentices back since he's an older warrior?

I'm a little confused about how this would all work out. Would the first patrol of apprentices or young warriors be captured by the NightClan patrol? And how would Wildstar have heard they had even left the territory if they weren't in NightClan long enough to encounter a patrol?

I'm just wondering: would it be feasible for Moonclan to try an wage a surprise attack for Wildstar?

I was thinking that Wildstar could come across their scent going across the border and catch up to them in NightClan's territory before the NightClan patrols finds him and the patrol of apprentices together in their territory. Wildstar could have been tracking the apprentices to see how they were preparing for their warrior names, or just be out for a walk in the forest when he finds their trail. NightClan doesn't sent out organized patrols as often as the other clans, so he should be able to catch them in the right time span to make it work.
That plan is pretty coincidence-y, so if y'all have better ideas, please speak up.

Most of the attacks done are surprise attacks, it's rare that they give the clan they're attacking any sort of heads up before attacking them.

Is there any way we could have Clawstar be attacked which would give dawnclan more if a reason to be involved in battle?

Maybe a Moonclan apprentice just hunting could come across their scent on Nightclan territory, and run back to tell Wildstar?

NightClan and DawnClan are already pretty buddy-buddy, NightClan will blame MoonClan for the conflict which should give DawnClan enough reason to be defending their allies.

That could work, or maybe one of the apprentices thinks its a bad idea and runs off to get him after an argument with the others?
