Hey guys! Ember here for our July Monthly Meow, and what the month it has been. We’ve welcomed many new members this past month, thank you to the members that have been helping me advertise! In the roleplay, SunClan has discovered the kidnapped kits and returned them to their clans, forming an alliance with MoonClan. A gathering will take place next weekend in which MoonClan and SunClan plan to confront NightClan, greatly offending the city clan and eventually leading to a war.

A quick note about the clans before I get into the main topic of this Monthly Meow, they're becoming very different in their size again. MoonClan has 69 cats, NightClan 74, DawnClan 81 and SunClan only 47. Please help balance these out again by making your next characters in the smaller clans, especially SunClan.

Many of us will be heading back to school towards the end of this month or the beginning of September, meaning a lot less time to spend roleplaying. I know I will be very busy this coming school year and would like to tell you guys a few little things I see time to time on the Character Updates page that save me a bit of time for updates when they’re done correctly. First off, follow the format. Just follow the format exactly, it seems silly, I know, but any change you make to the format given increases the chance a mistake will be made as I do the updates. I can figure out what you mean most of the time, but I may make an incorrect assumption or waste time fixing what you did wrong.

The most common mistake is not to list your character’s clan, as there are usually around 350 characters on this site, I likely will not know which clan your character comes from unless you listed it. While I can check your page, assuming you have an up to date character list posted, or go through the clan pages, but this is a waste of time and it would be much easier if the clan was included. When writing your character’s sex please say “male” or “female” instead of “tom” and “she-cat” or anything else, I like the keep the pages consistent on this, and it saves me a little time when I don’t have to fix them. The history and description are to be one paragraph together, 100-300 words is a good size for this.

To the leaders, please post the ceremonies in the order that the cats are listed on the page, this should be the same way they are listed in the Monthly Meow. All places should, though sometimes mistakes are made, have the cats listed in the same order through my records, the clan pages and on the information page. Keeping them like this just helps me keep them organized, because I can compare lists side by side and have less of a chance of making a mistake that could take a while to repair later on. As well as this, please make sure ceremonies are done on time, I shouldn’t have to remind you to do them. With each ceremony you do, please go onto the information page and give mentors to any apprentices listed with “???”.
