Ageing

Posted by Ember on November 18, 2012 at 3:30 PM

I just relised I didn't how the system for how I determine when a cat should be promoted in rank, have their kits or die.

Kit:1 month

Apprentence:2 months

Warrior/Med cat: 8 months

(leader= +6 months to warrior time)

(queen carrying kits=1 month of warrior time)

Elder:2 months

This way, every cat starting at kit hood will have a maximum life span of 1 year 1 month, a leader would have a maximum life span of 1 year 7 months.

If you have any questions just ask.

Yeah, that's nice.So if Nightfrost became leader,he would only live for 7 months?

He has used only 3 months of his warrior time so if he became leader this instant he would be leader for 11 months and then retire for 2. He would have 13 months to live but until he becomes leader he has 5 more months until he becomes and elder and 2 after that until he has to die.

O-ok.I think i get the hang of it.So,he finished his warrior months, and now his deputy, after dawnstar finishes her 11 months or so,then Nightfrost is leader. He has 6 or 7 months, because he can't be leader right now.And after that part i understood nothing.Lol,sorry.

Being a deputy is consitered part of warrior time, it doesn't add anything. He isn't done with his warrior time yet.
