Warrior Cats of the Forest is hosted on Webs (formerly Freewebs), a website host owned by Vistaprint. While this makes the website easy to update, it means that Ember has little control over the workings of the website itself and can rarely fix any glitches that occur.
If you find a glitch anywhere on the website, you should report the problem to Webs through

Rather than in the English countryside where the canon clans make their home, the territories of Warrior Cats of the Forests take place in an imagined location in the vicinity of Detroit, Michigan. This guide to Warrior Cats of the Forest’s environment covers the territories’ climate, geography, and a handful of the other species characterize the area. This guide is by no means inclusive of every detail of the clans’ territories, every...

In the traditional Warriors naming system, each warrior’s name consists of two halves, a prefix and a suffix. The prefix is given to a cat by their parents and is retained throughout their lives (with the rare exception of a name change), while the suffix is changed several times as they climb the ranks. While kits, apprentices, and leaders all share the same suffix (-kit, -paw, and -star, respectively), warriors and medicine cats have a wide varie...

The goal of the many rules of this website can be sorted into two broad categories: atmosphere and website organization. There’s a reason why the first line of the code requires that cats defend their clans, even if their lives: the life of a warrior is dangerous. While starvation and fights with the other clans are constant threats, clan cats also come across a variety of dangerous animals in their day to day lives. While sometimes these enemies can be allowed to go about their lives, others must be confronted and killed or chased away, and others even hunted for f...

Prey, or fresh-kill, is a clan term for all of the animals in their territories consumed as food. The Warrior Code prohibits cats from killing prey without the intention to feed the clan with it and requires that hunters refrain from eating the prey they have killed until the rest of the clan has been fed. Cats who believe in StarClan often opt to give thanks to their ancestors for the fresh-kill’s life immediately after killing their prey. After...

Throughout the clans, medicine cats serve dual roles as advisors and healers. While how they are expected to behave in these roles and the medicine cats’ access to specific plants and other supplies vary, all medicine cats use herbs to heal their fellow clanmates from wounds and sickness.
This guide has been adapted from the herbs used in the canon Warriors series to account for our original clans and t...

How do I roleplay here?
Roleplaying is done in past tense, third person, paragraph form. For instance:
Brownfur crossed through MoonClan’s camp, her ears pricking up as she heard Greypelt call her name from the other side of the camp. Oh StarClan, she thought, I hope I didn’t get assigned to the morning patrol again!
She trot...

All potential deputies are chosen in a discussion between the moderators and the site owner, in which the site owner makes the final decision.
The first thing considered when selecting a member for a high-ranking position is whether they are active, follow the rules, and are respectful, kind, and helpful toward other members. Members who participate in out of character activ...
